The Single Malts of Scotland Ledaig 2005 18 Year Old is a single-cask Island malt from Tobermory Distillery's peated Ledaig spirit. Distilled in 2005 and matured for 18 years in a refill hogshead, cask #300347 yielded 243 bottles. The aroma is bold and earthy with deep sweet smoke, medicinal peat, smoky bacon, soft fruit and salted lime. The palate is full-bodied with sherry-soaked fruit, iodine smoke, charred wood and dark chocolate. Bottled at 59.3% ABV, the finish is long and warm with cocoa-dusted smoke.
