Description
Borgogno Barolo Riserva 2005 is a traditional, long-aged Barolo from one of Piedmont’s historic producers. Made entirely from Nebbiolo sourced from important Barolo vineyards, the wine underwent extended maceration and was aged for six years in large Slavonian oak barrels followed by additional bottle refinement.
Testing Note
Complex and mature, with notes of dried red cherry, rose, licorice, spice, tobacco, leather and earthy nuances. The palate is dry and structured with developed Nebbiolo tannins, balanced acidity and a long, savory finish.
