It is produced entirely from Bastard Negre, an old local grape variety also associated with Morastell and Graciano. The grapes come from biodynamically farmed, low-yielding vines planted in 1974 on poor limestone soils. Natural fermentation with native yeasts and minimal-intervention winemaking produce a distinctive wine with freshness, savory complexity and a strong expression of its vineyard.
