The Single Malts of Scotland Macduff 12 Year Old Reserve Casks is a small-batch Highland single malt from Macduff Distillery. Distilled in 2011 and aged for 12 years, the release was created from three sherry butts selected to preserve the distillery's delicate fruit-driven style. The nose balances green apple and pear with honey and a faint coastal salinity. The palate combines sweet malt, baked apple, pear, orange zest, white pepper and hazelnut. Bottled at 48% ABV, the finish is soft with oak and lingering gentle saltiness.
