The Single Malts of Scotland Linkwood 10 Year Old Reserve Cask is an independently bottled malt selected to highlight Linkwood's famously fragrant and fruit-driven character. Small batches in the Reserve Casks range are built from a limited number of casks rather than a broad house vatting, giving the whisky a more focused expression of orchard fruit, malt and gentle oak. Linkwood typically shows green fruit, flowers and fresh barley, and at ten years of age these elements are supported by vanilla, caramel and mild peppery spice from the cask. Bottled at 48% ABV, the release keeps good texture and aromatic lift without becoming overly hot. It is a fresh, elegant style of Scotch with a clean, fruit-led finish.
