The Single Malts of Scotland Caol Ila 2006 19 Year Old Hogshead Single Cask is a limited U.S.-market single-cask release listed in the MISA portfolio as a 750 ML Islay bottling. The whisky was distilled in 2006 and matured in a hogshead, a cask type that generally allows Caol Ila's naturally clean peat, citrus and maritime character to remain clearly visible while adding vanilla, gentle oak and mature texture. Nineteen years of age brings greater integration and depth, softening the smoke while developing waxy citrus, mineral notes and layered coastal character. Because this exact 19-year 750 ML release is newer than the widely documented 18-year 700 ML sibling bottling, the exact ABV is left blank rather than copied from a different cask.
