The Single Malts of Scotland Aultmore 15 Year Old Single Cask is a cask-strength independent bottling that highlights the naturally clean, grassy and fruity character of Aultmore after fifteen years of maturation. The documented release was matured in a sherry butt, giving the normally bright Speyside-style spirit a darker, richer layer of dried fruit, caramelized sugar and spice. At 60.7% ABV, the whisky retains substantial concentration and texture, with the high proof carrying intense sherry-cask flavor while still allowing malt and orchard fruit to show through. The nose is rich and aromatic, and the palate develops dried fruit, dark sweetness, baking spice and oak around a clean malt core. A few drops of water can open additional fruit and soften the cask-strength intensity.
