The Hearach Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the first historic single malt produced by the Isle of Harris Distillery in Tarbert on the Isle of Harris. Every drop is distilled, matured and married on the island, giving the whisky a strong connection to the coastal conditions of the Outer Hebrides. The recipe combines spirit matured in first-fill ex-Bourbon casks with first-fill Oloroso and Fino sherry butts, then marries the components for a minimum of twelve weeks before bottling. The whisky is made from Scottish malted barley, is lightly peated at roughly 12 to 15 PPM, and is bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration or artificial colouring. Its profile combines gentle peat smoke and toasted malt with apple, wildflowers, mixed spice, candied ginger, vanilla and honeycomb, finishing with a creamy texture and a distinctive note of new leather.
