Terlano Porphyr Lagrein Riserva Alto Adige 2021 is a premium, full-bodied Italian red wine produced by Cantina Terlano in the renowned Alto Adige region of northern Italy. Crafted from 100% Lagrein grapes selected from old vineyards, this exceptional wine takes its name from the distinctive porphyry rock associated with its terroir. Following careful hand harvesting and controlled fermentation in stainless steel, the wine matures for 18 months in French oak barriques, with approximately one-third new barrels. It displays a deep ruby-red color with violet reflections and expressive aromas of morello cherries, blueberries, licorice, coffee beans, vanilla, cloves and black tea. The palate is concentrated and harmonious, combining juicy dark fruit, warm spices, dark chocolate and silky tannins. Its elegant structure and lingering finish make it an excellent pairing for braised beef, roasted lamb, venison, mushroom dishes and aged cheeses.
