Tembela Syrah 2025 is an expressive South African red wine crafted by talented winemaker Banele Vakele in Stellenbosch. Produced from 100% Syrah grapes sourced from the Karibib vineyard in the Polkadraai Hills and Langverwacht in Kuils River, this distinctive wine reflects the mineral-rich granite soils and vibrant character of the region. Fermented with approximately 80% whole bunches and matured for 10 months in older oak barrels, it combines elegance, concentration and freshness. Aromas of ripe blackberries, dark cherries, violets, cracked black pepper and savory herbs lead to a beautifully structured palate. Layers of dark berries, olive tapenade, subtle smoky notes and fine minerality are complemented by lively acidity and refined tannins. Its long, savory finish makes it an excellent pairing for roasted lamb, grilled beef, venison and Mediterranean dishes.
