R. López de Heredia Viña Tondonia Reserva 2012 is a legendary traditional Rioja crafted from estate vineyards in Rioja Alta, Spain. Aged for approximately six years in American oak barrels followed by extended bottle aging before release, this iconic red delivers remarkable complexity and elegance. Aromas of red cherry, dried berries, cedar, vanilla, tobacco, leather, forest floor, and warm spices lead to a silky palate with refined tannins, vibrant acidity, and an exceptionally long, savory finish. Built for long-term aging yet approachable now with decanting, it pairs beautifully with roasted lamb, grilled steak, game meats, aged cheeses, and Spanish cuisine.
