Owney’s Original New York City Rum is a premium white rum that is inspired by Prohibition-era rum runners who smuggled aged Caribbean rum into the U.S. and blended it with locally distilled spirits. It is a blend of Owney’s Distiller’s Reserve Rum, which is made in New York City from non-GMO sugar cane molasses, yeast, and New York City water, and a two-year-old cask-aged Dominican rum that is filtered back to clear. It has a sweet aroma of vanilla, butterscotch, and banana, and a complex palate of vanilla, dried fruit, butter, mint, juniper, and citrus, with a long and dry finish.
