This intriguing white offers aromas of tropical fruit, herbs and white flowers, and a full-bodied but springy array of lime and herbs. The wine has an appealing creaminess but still maintains an elegant poise. The finish is lingering with a clean, salty spin.\n \n Producer Information\n The History of our Micro Winery begins almost a century back, in 1917 in the Keratea Community of Eastern Attica, with grandfather Antonis who had as his main occupation the vineyard and the production of wine, during those years leaving the must to ferment in amphorae, since the stainless steel tanks were unknown at the time. Later, the small business passed to our father Dimitris, who continued the winemaking tradition of his grandfather, expanding the business at the time by purchasing new vineyards and creating a small, modern for that time, winery. Next to our father, we his three sons, Antonis, Tasos and Stamatis who initially played with the soil & the grapes and growing up we observed the soil, the weather and the air and learned to talk to the vine, culling, carving and pruning it, so that in the end it became a part of us. So for us, it was the natural continuation to deal with the vine and the wine, the two of us, Stamatis and Antonis, studying Chemical Oenologists and Tasos studying Economics to take care of our small business. In practice, our little personal story, the Mylonas brothers, begins in 2000 when, after our father's endless journey, we took on the continuation of his work, following in his footsteps and developing what he set up, going one step further, as he himself did when he took over the family business from his own father and grandfather Antonis. The result was the creation of a brand new small modern winery and the standardization of our wines with our official presentation on the Greek market in 2006, having as a springboard "Sabbatiano Microwinery Mylonas".
