Montanya Aged Rum Exclusiva is a three-year aged rum made from American-grown sugar cane and pure mountain water. It is barrel aged for two and a half years in American white oak barrels that previously held Colorado whiskey, followed by six months in French oak barrels that previously aged Cabernet Sauvignon and Port wines. This gives the rum a dry, tannic finish that is very rare in aged rums. It has notes of vanilla, coffee, chocolate, caramel, and oak.Montanya Exclusiva Rum was barrel aged for a total of three years, made up of two and a half in an American white oak that previously held Colorado whiskey, followed by six months in French oak barrel that previously held Cabernet Sauvignon and Port from Sutcliffe Vineyards.
