Description
Mario Marengo Vigna Pugnane 2023 is a single-vineyard Barbera d'Alba produced from 100% Barbera grown in the Pugnane vineyard at Castiglione Falletto in Piedmont. The wine is matured in barrique, which rounds out Barbera's naturally vibrant acidity while retaining its ripe fruit character. It is rich and smooth yet fresh, with dark fruit, spice and earthy complexity.
Testing Note
Bright ruby in color with aromas of ripe dark berries, red fruit, spice and subtle woodland notes. The palate is smooth, dense and flavorful, balanced by Barbera's lively acidity and finishing with excellent persistence.
