Description
Jean-Paul et Charly Thevenet Morgon La Roche Pilee 2023 is a distinctive Beaujolais cru made from Gamay grown on decomposed granite soils in Morgon. It shows lifted blackberry and cherry fruit with floral notes and a savory, iron-like mineral character. Fermentation takes place in concrete, followed by about 10 months of aging in older French oak barrels.
Testing Note
Bright blackberry and cherry aromas with floral accents and savory mineral notes. The palate is fresh and expressive, with vibrant fruit, fine tannins and a persistent, iron-tinged finish.
