      Hyde de Villaine Californio Syrah 2022 is an elegant, cool-climate Syrah produced from Hyde Vineyard in the Carneros area of Napa Valley. The wine combines the depth and concentration associated with California Syrah with an Old World-inspired sense of freshness, balance, and restraint.

      It is matured for 18 months in French oak, including approximately 20% new barrels, then bottled unfined and unfiltered. The palate offers concentrated dark fruit, floral tones, refined tannins, and vibrant acidity, giving the wine excellent structure and long-term aging potential.

       

      Deep inky-purple in color, with aromas and flavors of violet, mocha, ripe plum, mulled dark berries, black pepper, and subtle savory spice. Precise acidity supports fine-grained tannins, leading to a structured, mineral-driven finish. The wine is reserved in its youth and will develop greater complexity with bottle age.
