The Hooten Young 12 Year is an American whiskey that is sourced from MGP and aged for 12 years. It is made from a mash of 99% corn and 1% malted barley, distilled at 189°, and aged at 140° in second-fill barrels.According to a verified tester, the whiskey has a soft and easy nose with candied corn and toasted marshmallow. The palate is fairly simple with caramel, brown sugar, marshmallow fluff, crisp apple, roasted corn, and cherry cola. The finish is long and warming with a slight numbing sensation that reminds one of Mr. Pibb.
