DESCRIPTION

Hewitson Old Garden Mourvedre 2021 is a distinctive single-vineyard red from the Barossa Valley, produced from 100% Mourvedre grown in the historic Old Garden vineyard, planted in 1853. The wine combines concentrated dark and red fruit with savory complexity, spice, chocolate and oak nuances. It is full-bodied, structured and remarkably elegant, with fine integrated tannins and a long finish.

TESTING NOTE

Medium red with crimson hues. Aromas of forest berries, black cherry and orange peel lead into flavors of black cherry, chocolate, mocha, orange and spice. The palate is rich and concentrated with fine, seamlessly integrated tannins and a persistent savory finish.
