This is a ridiculously good-value white wine from the Terra Alta area of Catalunya. Plantings are at 400m+ altitude, which keeps the acidity fresh in the warm climate. The characteristic nutty, waxy aromas of Grenache are apparent on the nose, together with green apples and a touch of white pepper. The palate is quite fresh with a lightly gripping texture and a gentle creaminess. Easy drinking but with a serious edge.
