Description
Glenmorangie The Nectar 16 Years Old is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky matured for 14 years in bourbon casks, then finished for an additional two years in a combination of sweet white wine casks, including Sauternes, Monbazillac, Moscatel, and Tokaji. The result is a rich, creamy, dessert-inspired whisky with layers of fruit, pastry, spice, and oak.
Testing Note
Bronze-gold in color with aromas of baked apricot, brioche, vanilla, toasted almond, chestnut, and subtle chocolate. The palate is rich and creamy with vanilla custard, baked fruit, raisin bread, nutmeg, star anise, and balanced oak. The finish is long and lingering with citrus peel, baked bread, and honeycomb notes.
