Glengarry 12 Year Old Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is produced at Loch Lomond Distillery in the Scottish Highlands from 100% unpeated Scottish malted barley. The whisky is matured for a minimum of twelve years in three types of American oak cask: first-fill Bourbon, first-fill re-charred American oak and refill American oak. This combination is designed to preserve Loch Lomond's bright fruit character while adding layers of vanilla, caramel and gentle oak spice. Long fermentation and the distillery's distinctive Lomond-style copper pot stills contribute to the expressive orchard-fruit profile. Bottled at 46% ABV and non-chill filtered, the whisky opens with peach blossom and golden malt before developing pear, apricot and orange zest. Creme caramel and vanilla-oak spice round the palate, leading to a soft, lightly spicy finish.
