If you love timeless, classic Burgundy, Bouard-Bonnefoy is the right place for you. This small, artisanal winery harvests such beautiful quality grapes that it has been supplying Pierre-Yves Premier Cru Colin Morey, one of the absolute icons of Burgundy, for many years.

In addition, the family makes a small Premier Cru amount of its own wines out of pure love for the profession. Initially these were only sold locally and to friends, so completely under the radar. After much insistence, we are one of the first export relations to offer a limited Premier Cru edition of their artisanal beautiful Burgundies.

This beautiful Premier Cru is made from chardonnay grapes harvested in La Maltroie, in the middle of the village of Chassagne. The vineyard with vines that are over thirty years old is farmed in a sustainable manner. Fabrice and his daughter Clara harvest by hand. The fermentation takes place using the grape's own yeasts in small oak barrels, followed by maturation on the yeast remains for about a year for extra depth of taste.

The result is Chassagne as Chassagne Premier Cru was intended. Delicate and rich, with notes of ripe citrus fruit, roasted nuts and smokiness in the aroma and tension and concentration in the Premier Cru taste.
