This is a blended whiskey comprised of about 15% pot still whiskey with the remainder consisting of column still grain whiskey. It is filtered through Atlantic oak charcoal before aging for four years. The whiskey is named after The Battle of Clontarf near Dublin in the year 1014. King Brian Boru led his men to victory against the mighty Vikings in a long, hard-fought battle on Good Friday. The King died in battle, but the Vikings left Ireland alone for the most part afterwards.\n\n
