Casa Manglar Mezcal Madrecuishe is an artisanal joven mezcal from San Juan del Rio, Oaxaca, Mexico, centered on the distinctive Madrecuishe agave of the Karwinskii family. Casa Manglar works with small-scale palenque production and traditional methods designed to preserve the personality of each maguey rather than standardize the spirit for volume. The house's mezcals are produced in Oaxaca with traditional tahona milling and double distillation, and the Madrecuishe expression is bottled at a robust 45% ABV in a 750 ML format. Its aromatic profile is complex and savory, opening with plum, cranberry and dried apple alongside clove, cinnamon and other baking spices. Mineral and saline notes develop on the palate with fennel, peppercorn and earthy herbs, leading to a dry, structured finish with lingering spice and distinctive agave character.
