The climate is typical continental, with cold winters and hot, dry summers, and the soil is composed of lime and chalk. The Monastrell vines have aged 30 years and the Petit Verdot vines are 10 years old. Grapes are harvested between September and November under hot and dry conditions. There is no rainfall during the harvest time, and grapes are always hand-picked.
