Bright light golden colour. A lovely perfume showing white flower, crushed stone, bold stone fruit and a hint of fresh grapes. The palate has excellent grip and power with an invigorating freshness and sense of salinity/minerality, pure and lingering flavours of peach and apricot with zesty and floral notes leading to a very long and intense finish. \n \n Producer Information \n Weingut Bründlmayer is an Austrian wine producer located in Langenlois, Kamptal, approximately 43 miles (70 km) northwest of Vienna. The estate specializes in whites wines primarily from the Grüner Veltliner grape, as well as Riesling and Chardonnay. Since 1947, a selection of the estate's most valued wines have been stored in a 700-year-old cellar as a "vinothek" (wine collection) in order to provide a historical archive for future generations. The estate has holdings across several largely terraced vineyards either side of the Kamp and Loisbach rivers. The famed Zöbinger Heiligenstein and neighboring Kammerner Lamm lie to the east of Langenlois on southwest-facing sandstone and lime-rich clay slopes on the eastern bank of the Kamp. The remaining vineyards are all scattered around Langenlois and include the Erste Lage (First Growth) Loiserberg, Spiegel, Käferberg and Steinmassl sites as well as the Dechant and Berg Vogelsang vineyards. Bründlmayer produces four DAC Grüner Veltliner wines and five DAC Riesling wines from its classified vineyards. Although mostly known for its range of high-quality white wines, the estate also makes a selection of red wines from the traditional Austrian grape varieties of Zweigelt, Blauburger and Sankt Laurent, as well as the widely cultivated Cabernet Franc and Pinot Noir varieties. These red and white wine grapes also form the basis of many of Weingut Bründlmayer's Beerenauslese, Trockenbeerenauslese and sparkling wines. Proprietor Willi Bründlmayer places great importance on the ecological balance of his vineyards and only uses organic fertilizers for the cultivation of his vines. He relies on natural resources: no herbicides are employed and the vines are trained just above ground level to maximize on the beneficial effects of the soil's heat on the grapes.
