Description
Blecua Somontano 2014 is the flagship red wine of Viñas del Vero, produced in Spain’s Somontano region. Crafted from a selection of the estate’s best vineyard parcels, it is a complex, concentrated and age-worthy blend. Extended maturation in French oak contributes spice, toast and depth while preserving rich dark fruit and freshness.
Testing Note
Deep cherry-red with aromas of ripe blackberry, plum and blackcurrant layered with cocoa, tobacco, vanilla, toasted oak and spice. The palate is powerful and concentrated with mature fruit, structured tannins, balanced acidity and a persistent, complex finish.
