Celebrated as a beacon of hope, culture, and resilience, Beirut is one of the oldest cities in the world. And while it is true that it has known its share of upheavals, always finding a way to dust herself off, stand up tall, smile again and raise her glass to the good times.
Given its capital’s joie de vivre, it thus comes as no surprise that the country’s history is interwined with winemaking. Phoenician wine is known to us from ancient texts, and it was spread across the Mediterranean basin by this people’s maritime trading culture, alongside their land’s ancestral species of wine grapes, knowledge of viticulture and winemaking, and the alphabet. They inspired and influenced early winemakers such as the Romans and Ancient Greeks. And till this day, their Lebanese descendants live by these principles of sharing knowledge and their love of life.
Located 1,000 to 1,600 meters above sea level, our vineyards benefit from their elevated position overlooking the Mediterranean and enjoy the sundrenched summers of the sloping hills of Mount-Lebanon which give them their amazing aroma and flavor.
