Alvar De Dios Hernandez Aciano 2018 is a distinctive red wine from Toro, Spain, produced from an ungrafted vineyard planted in 1919 on sandy soils in El Pego. Made from Tinta de Toro, the local expression of Tempranillo, it is aged for 12 months in large wooden casks followed by at least 6 months in concrete. The 2018 vintage was notably fresh and cool, giving the wine excellent aromatic lift, mineral character, and balance.
