The short, cool and sunny growing season is perfectly suited for Pinot Noir. Alto Limay is grown and produced in San Patricio del Chanar, 380 miles south of Mendoza, in the province of Neuquen. Paul Hobbs has been consulting for the partner winery for five years. The namesake Limay River joins the Neuquen River to form the Rio Negro, which flows to the Atlantic Ocean and separates Patagonia from the Pampas. The pristine Alto Limay, fed by Andes mountain snowmelt creates unique grapegrowing conditions in Patagonia.
