Aromas of black cherry, plum, black currant, caramel, and hints of dark chocolate give way to a full bodied red blend with a soft entry, balanced fruit and tannins, and a lingering ripe cocoa finish. Producer Information The true essence of Primal Roots begins with the raw qualities of Merlot, Syrah, and Zinfandel that are artfully blended to create a smooth, full-bodied, sensual wine. We harvest our fruit when the color, favors, acids, and tannins are all in balance. The fruit is crushed, destemmed, and cold-soaked for three days to allow optimal juice/skin contact before fermentation. This process yields a deep color, rich texture, and more concentrated fruit favors in our wine.
