Fresh red cherry and purple plum aromas are laced with an expressive hint of baking spice. Bright and focused on the mid-palate, this multi-layered wine is bursting with red currants, graphite and cranberries. The flavors combine with the wine’s rich, silky tannins to create a hedonistic impression that stretches across a long, graceful finish.
Producer Information
Novelty Hill and Januik are independent wineries that share a destination tasting room and fully-appointed production facility in Woodinville under the direction of acclaimed winemaker Mike Januik. Since his first Columbia Valley harvest in 1984, Mike has led Washington wine quality and innovation. By working on a small scale with fruit from the state’s best vineyards for Januik wines and relying on high quality grapes from Novelty Hill’s estate vineyard, Stillwater Creek, Mike concentrates on the details of winemaking, from fermentation through blending, that transform winemaking from a science to an art.
