Deep purple in color, this Cabernet Sauvignon bursts from the glass with aromas of black cherries, wild berry fruits and sweet spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg, chocolate and tobacco. It is expansive on the palate: full-bodied, well-structured with fine, integrated tannins, and outstanding depth.
Producer Information
Domain of Valdepusa has been owned by the family of D. Carlos Falcó, Marqués de Griñón, since 1292 and is located in the Toledo area of Malpica de Tajo. It occupies an area of 52 hectares, including the original vineyard of Cabernet Sauvignon vines planted in 1974. Starting in 1991, this was gradually expanded with the Syrah and Petit Verdot varieties, both pioneers in Spain, and Graciano. Marqués de Griñón is a family winery with a clear objective: the search for excellence par excellence. Our wines are made maintaining a philosophy of cultivation and production based on sustainability and respect for the environment, but also on innovation and the use of advanced technologies, strongly committed to a synthesis between tradition and progress. Our aging room was built in 1989 with a capacity for 2,000 Bordeaux barrels, with the particularity of being entirely underground. In it, cleanliness and temperature control, as well as the absence of oxygen in practically all operations after fermentation, are rules of strict observance. We also have a modern air conditioning installation with hygrometric control, which allows the conditions in which the wines are made to be always ideal, using only French Allier oak barrels.
