Perched on a cliff overlooking Bordeaux’s meandering Durezes River stands Chateau Fonfroide. A cold spring on the property gives the chateau its name and helps irrigate the 185-acre vineyard. History is rich here, firmly rooted in the limestone and clay soil, tilled and cared for by the Dutheillet de Lamothe family for over 300 years! Merlot, cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon and malbec join together in a compelling homage to the family’s deep winemaking experience.
