The “Cà Montebello” farm extends luxuriantly among its vineyards on the first hills in the imposing landscape of the province of Pavia. The toponym “Montebello”, mentioned in ancient maps as one of the most prestigious areas for the cultivation of vineyards, originally indicated a fiefdom belonging to the Podestà degli Arnaboldi. It was then the Scarani family, winegrowers for generations, who consolidated a winemaking tradition which guaranteed the continuity of the quality and excellence of its wines, appreciated by generations of connoisseurs. A family business, in the most literal sense of this term, is inextricably the binomial that characterizes our work, always linked to the charisma and personality of those who work there, respecting the nature of its territory. Alongside the owner, Luigi Scarani, a true master winemaker, histrionic and outgoing, collaborates at Cà Montebello with his wife Ines and his children: Alberto, responsible for the company’s commercial relations around the world, and Cristina, a brilliant “creative” in the art of winemaking. From the natural vocation of the calcareous-clayey soil, favorably exposed to the sun’s rays to the east and west, and from the constant and passionate dedication with which we cultivate the vines, in absolute respect for the environment, which leads to the healthy and natural ripening of the grapes it rewards us for the efforts of a year of work and marks the beginning of a new challenge aimed at the search for quality and perfection.
