Ancho Reyes is based on a 1927 recipe from Puebla, a town in Mexico known for its ancho chiles, which are dried and smoked poblanos. The liqueur is a tasty addition to classic cocktails like the Margarita, Daiquiri or Paloma, or it can be used in original concoctions. A spicy, smoky Mexican liqueur made with chile ancho, which are dried poblano chiles. These little beauties are macerated in neutral cane spirit for half a year, then blended with a selection of other ingredients and allowed to rest a little longer for the flavoured to marry. Sure to make for a top cocktail ingredient.
