Made from the grape of the same name, this is desert in a glass! Deep dark rich color with a sweet nose and long lingering sweet finish.\n \n Producer Information\n Osborne is a major drinks group in Spain and Portugal, particularly known for its Sherries and Ports. The firm was founded in 1772 in El Puerto de Santa Maria (Cadiz) and Sherry is the product most readily associated with Osborne. The company makes a full range of sherry styles, including the Rare Sherry range of old Solera wines – the oldest solera in the portfolio dates back to 1790. Osborne also have a range of Port wines, includes white, ruby and tawny expressions. In addition to the fortified wines, which make up the majority of the portfolio, Osborne makes a range of still wines from around Spain. This includes a blend of Chardonnay and Palomino under the Vino de la Tierra de Cadíz designation, the Señorío del Cid range consisting of a red from Ribera del Duero and a white from Rueda, and the the Solaz brand in Castilla-La Mancha. Osborne also makes a range of brandies, many of which are aged in Sherry barrels. Osborne is the second-oldest continuously active company in Spain, and remains under majority ownership of the family. The group also owns Bodegas Montecillo, the third-oldest winery in Rioja, which additionally makes wine under the Viña Monty and Viña Cumbrero labels. As well as wines and spirits, Osborne's interests include Iberian ham, energy drinks and mineral water.
