Pierre Damoy took over his family estate from his uncle, Jacque Damoy, in 1992. This impressive holding, which was established by his great-great grandfather Julien Damoy, is one of the jewels of the Cote d’Or. The holdings included three of the most esteemed grand crus in Burgundy. Pierre owns 35 percent of the magnificent Chambertin-Clos de Beze and 40 percent of Chapelle-Chambertin and boasts one hectare of Chambertin. With a state-of-the-art winery and improved, earth-friendly vineyard practices, he revitalized the wines and transformed Domaine Pierre Damoy into one of Gevrey’s most promising sources.
