Rued Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley is a dry, fruity, and ripe Pinot Noir with a silky texture and crisp acids. It has rich flavors of cherries and raspberries. The 2013 William Knuttel Pinot Noir Rued Mount Olivet Vineyard is deep ruby in color and has rich aromas of wild strawberry and ripe cherry.
Russian River Valley Pinot Noir is known for its texture, firm tannins, and dark, meaty finish. It is not defined by acidity or aromatics. The Russian River Valley Pinot Noir from Middle Reach has tasting notes of dark fruit, cola spice, and strong earthy undertones. The color of the wine is light red, the flavors of black and red cherries, cola, orange zest and spices are delicious. Quite delicate and smooth texture on the long finish.

Producer Information
The wines produced by the Rued family begin with boots; boots on the ground in vineyards that are tended directly by the family. Patriarch Richard and son Tom together look after and farm their Home Vineyard in Dry Creek Valley as well as leased vineyards in the Russian River Valley and Alexander Valley. The Rued family farms far more acres of grapes than they use in their small production of wines. The large selection of grapes at their disposal allow them to evaluate each vineyard block by block to determine which grapes are best suited to the style of wines they want to produce for their own label. The remainder of their harvest is sold to other local winemakers.
