This wine is renown to be intense and powerful but I tend to disagree. In my opinion the strongest thing in this wine is the colour. The rest, is elegant above all. Sunctuous. Delicate. Extremely well rounded. In nose, delicately collected black forest fruit. Mineral. Mouth entry point is sweet and silky gaining volume along mouth. Not sure about persistance but it is long. If you are looking for a modern and quality work on 100% Tempranillo in Rioja, try this one.

Tasting Notes
Decent body that could even use a few more years. Soft tannins with a small amount of structure pulling the wine together. Rich aromas of smoked meats and dried tobacco combined well with flavours of ripe blackberries and chocolate. Would give 2-3 more years. Drink 2016-2018
