Melvyn and Janie Master are from England but both now US citizens. Mel has been in the wine business ever since leaving school and he met Janie when they were only twelve and thirteen (she played the piano and he played the guitar!) and as they grew up together, they shared a passion for food and wine. They married at 19 and 20.

The Tortoise Creek ?Cherokee Lane? Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from sustainably farmed vineyards in the mineral rich sandy to clay loam soils of Lodi, California. The vineyards takes advantage of the gap between the northern and southern coastal ranges surrounding the San Francisco Bay. As the day?s temperature rises, cool breezes drift in from the Delta, keeping the nights cool which is ideal for developing complex long finishing wines.
