The remarkable story begins with Etienne Guigal, a remarkably independent and both intellectually and physically capable man. He was the youngest child in his family, but as the most resilient he was sent off on his own at a very young age when his family could no longer afford to care for him. He came to Ampuis, half an hour south of the city of Lyon and the home of Cote-Rotie, to pick apricots. Tasting Notes
The Guigal family has made serious ros? wines since the 1940s, and their C?tes du Rh?ne Ros?, like all their C?tes du Rh?ne wines, is humble in name only. The wine bursts with irresistible fresh red fruits and yet is also long and satisfying. Because of its quality and body, it's a ros? that you can bring to the table, and do so all year long. It is a ros? that offers both refreshment and pleasure. Comprised of Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah, the wine offers an impressive array of flavors and textures that shines through in perfect harmony. Fine, fruity and round palate.
