Critical Acclaim

WE95 – Wine Enthusiast
This is a jammy wine with a lot of life. It’s moderately structured and fruity in blackberry and cherry flavors. Cedar and dried herb tones add complexity to the expansive midpalate, which is sticky in tannin and oak. It will benefit from more time in the bottle; enjoy 2024?2030.

JS94 – James Suckling
This is a layered and juicy red with lots of blackberries, blueberries and chocolate. Walnut undertones. Full-bodied, big and rich. A little old-school but shows some tension that holds it together. Give it two or three years of bottle age. Better in 2021.

JD94 – Jeb Dunnuck
Bottled in a huge black bottle, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Transcendent offers a big, sweet nose of cassis, vanilla bean, cr?me caramel and spicy oak. Ripe, sexy, nicely balanced and voluptuous, it has sweet tannin, terrific purity of fruit and a great texture. All of this makes for a delicious, sumptuous Napa Cabernet Sauvignon.

RP92 – Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Transcendent is a dense purple color with loads of blueberry and black raspberry notes along with incense and floral notes. This is a serious wine with supple tannins, adequate acidity and fleshy, ripe, pure fruit. This is a beauty that should drink well for 10-15 years.

Tasting Notes

The 2014 Transcendent is a wine of true depth and sophistication. It exhibits aromas of tobacco, black currant and black cherry. Flavors of mocha, cassis and allspice intermingle perfectly on the palate. The 2014 Transcendant isa full-bodied wine with the perfect oak to fruit balance, elegant tannins and a long finish.
