Alzinger’s 11 hectares of vines span some of Austria’s greatest growing sites, including Steinertal and Loibenberg. All of the estate’s fruit is whole cluster crushed and sees short macerations, which lead to elegant wines of pristine quality. ‘Steinertal’ Gruner comes from a cooler plot of terraced vines and is marked by flavors of pear skin, underripe stone fruit, and sea salt flavors, which lead to a zesty and citrus-driven finish. Drink now or lay down for 5-10 years.
