Here is a leaner style with a firm backbone of acidity underscoring citrus and orchard fruit notes. It is not very showy, but shows balance.\n \n Producer Information\n In the middle of the Wagram, a gently sloping and at the same time very powerful terrain that gave the landscape its name, our family has been growing wine with passion, idealism and innovation in the third generation. The Wagram offers ideal conditions for growing wine. It was created by Ice Age winds on the Danube's primary rock base and consists of layers of loess up to 20 meters high. This easily permeable soil allows the roots of the vines to absorb water and nutrients even from great depths. Together with the influence of the Pannonian climate, the Wagram offers the best conditions for unique and characterful wines with fine spice and the typical creaminess. This applies not only to the Grüner Veltliner, but also to the Roter Veltliner, which enjoys a long tradition in Wagram. Our work is carried out hand in hand in harmony with nature and our tradition. We are an organic and sustainably certified winery. As a result, we completely avoid using herbicides and insecticides and are committed to biodiversity and the responsible use of natural resources. Our vineyards are the heart of our family business. The wine quality grows here with dedication and decades of experience. In order to achieve the highest quality, we strictly limit yields and meticulous foliage work in the vineyard. The harvest is carried out exclusively by hand in several selective harvesting rounds. This means that only healthy and physiologically optimally ripe grapes reach the cellar. In the cellar, too, we combine traditional methods with the latest findings and thus continue our philosophy in the processing of the grapes. The wines are bottled after the optimal fruit aroma has been developed. Our single-vineyard wines are allowed to mature in large wooden barrels for up to one year and our red wines are allowed to mature in barriques for up to two years
