the vodka as a craft vodka made from local wheat and water, freeze-filtered before bottling. The vodka has an initial and quite heavy ethanol note, then a distinct evergreen character, coming across as almost gin-like at times. Secondary notes of almond and a cotton ball character emerge with time in glass. On the palate, there’s a moderate astringency and some camphor, then a rather doughy character and more of that linen/cotton ball element. The overall body is quite dry, and those herbal notes kick in again on the back end. Overall, it winds up fairly clean, though the aggressive ethanol punch never really dies down, and the whole experience sticks fairly close to those classic hospital elements
