The bouquet is broad and fragrant, with acacia flowers, chamomile, peach, yellow plum and melon interlaced with buttery aromas, sweet spices, saffron, and cedar wood. A flinty, mineral quality adds precision to the intricate frame. On the palate, the wine is voluptuous yet elegant, showing great finesse and intense aromatic persistence. The mouthfeel is balanced and lifted.\n\nQuerciabella Batàr 2020 is a full-bodied blended white wine produced from Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc grapes in the Tuscany region of central Italy. One of the iconic white wines of Italy, Querciabella`s Batàr cuvee has been described by veteran wine writer Hugh Johnson as "a dream of a white". A barrel-fermented 50/50 blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco, this is a wine that is drinking well now but has great ageing potential. "Brilliant straw. A gorgeous, layered, sweet peach and fragrant oak nose and with just a hint of hazelnut. Creamy and a little rich on the palate and gaining enormously in depth on the finish with salty minerally notes. Fantastic focus and length. Already irresistible but I wouldn’t open this for at least another two to three years."\n
