Producer Information Perched on a cliff overlooking Bordeaux’s meandering Durezes River stands Chateau Fonfroide. A cold spring on the property gives the chateau its name and helps irrigate the 185-acre vineyard. History is rich here, firmly rooted in the limestone and clay soil, tilled and cared for by the Dutheillet de Lamothe family for over 300 years!
