This is packed with steeped plum and blackberry fruit paste notes mixed with tar, roasted apple wood and warm earth. Best from 2024 through 2036. \n Producer Information \n Cade Winery is a winery located on Howell Mountain in the Napa Valley of California. A partner winery to Plumpjack, also located in Napa, it produce Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc from the estate property as well as other vineyards in the valley. Cade winery was founded in 2007 by American composer Gordon Getty and the now Governor of California, Gavin Newsom. It sits at 1800ft above the Napa Valley floor on Howell Mountain, where 54 acres (22 ha) of vineyards are planted to Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Environmentally friendly, they were the first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold Certified estate winery in Napa Valley. Their wine portfolio consists of varietal Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc. The Cade Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is their flagship wine, sourced from the estate property. Additionally, two other Cabernet Sauvignons are sourced from vineyards in Saint Helena, Oak Knoll, and Calistoga and are known for being rich and powerful, with the capacity for significant aging. Finally, two Sauvignon Blancs are produced from Napa Valley and the producer estate.
